Lynnwood, Washington has a little bit to offer every visitor or resident. It contains a conglomeration of suburban, urban, and small town charm. Many people residing in the community work in the nearby city of Seattle. The town is located by two significant interstate highways making it the retail hub of the region. Established in 1959, Lynnwood was originally part of a bigger region called Alderwood Manor. Many of the original buildings still stand within the city. Central Washington University, Edmonds Community College, and various public schools are spread throughout the area. It also contains the Alderwood Mall, City Center, multiple cafes, and even an original gas station. Parks can be found throughout the community along with many walking trails.
Lynnwood is not just a place for people to enjoy various recreational activities. It also houses various sized businesses particularly along the two major interstates running through it. The Alderwood Mall can be found on one side of Interstate 5. It houses shops such as Babies R Us, Barnes & Noble, and David’s Bridal. Residents also get quick access to the local animal hospital as well as a martial arts studio. Many hotels and restaurants are also present on the Alderwood side of Interstate 5. Lynwood can be found adjacent to Alderwood. A convention center, little shops, and various restaurants may be visited in various sections of the community.
